Candidates Age Limit:
18 to 28 years as on 01/01/2016.

10th Class, 12th or Higher Secondary or equivalent from a Recognized Board.

Since inception, elevan new revenue districts viz., Sukma, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Bijapur, Balod, Bemetara, Gariyaband, Balodabajar, Mungeli, Surajpur & Balrampur have been carved out to supplement the administrative efficacy, making a total of 27 districts in the State.Shri SM Shukla, IPS, the first Director General of Police took pride in bringing up the infant PHQ, Shri OP Rathor, IPS, the 5th DG Police, with an eight long years of experience in the United Nations, contributed a lot besides being instrumental in establishing a ‘Counter Terrorism & Jungle Warfare’ School at Kanker. The 6th Director General, Shri Vishwaranjan, IPS added new dimensions to the Chhattisgarh police ushering in the era of police modernization and all-round professionalism.
