About the Institute of Nano Science and Technology
Institute of Nano Science and Technology was founded in Mohali, Punjab, an autonomous institution of Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, admitted by Department of Science and Technology to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on January 3, 2013, on which date its appointed directors were appointed. The institute is currently operating from its transit complex in Housing Center, Sector-64, Phase-X, Mohali, Punjab. The new campus of IISER is in the knowledge city in Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab) beside the IISER Mohali complex.
