About National Law University

National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) is a law university in India, offering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. It is located in Sector-14, Dwarka, New Delhi, India. National Law University was inaugurated by the President of India, Pratibha Patil. NLUD is one of the National Law Schools of India which is based on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India.
This law provides the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court to act as Chancellor of the University while the Vice-Chancellor acts as the Chief Administrator.
National Law University, Delhi was set up in Delhi by NCT of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Act No. 1 of Delhi, in which the initiative of Delhi High Court under the leadership of Ranbir Singh (the founder-director / Vice President-Nalsar University of Law, VC of Hyderabad), who became the first Vice-Chancellor.
