About Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University
The University is accredited by UGC (University Grants Commission) and is a member of AIU (Association of Indian Universities). The University is accredited with the Grade A by the National Assessment and Recognition Council, Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar announced that the University Grants Commission (India) has given autonomy to the PDPU, which has only been included in two private universities. To accept this autonomy in India. After this, the university will have the freedom to start new courses, start campus centers, skill development courses, research parks, and any other new academic programs. It will also give the freedom to hire foreign faculty, enroll foreign students, provide incentives based on the faculty, enter academic support and run open distance education programs.
The Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University was established in Gujarat, through the legislative assembly PDPU passed in 2007 by the Gujarat State Legislature. This university is known as Gyan Galiara in Raisen village of Gandhinagar city, and it is near the upcoming Gift City. The University is ranked 55th in India and is the first place in Gujarat by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF),Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. PDPU has also been honored with the Scientific and industrial research organization (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
